Parents Letter 07.05.20

Dear Parents/Carers

As we end the fourth week of the summer term can I once again reiterate my thanks to everyone within our community for your continued care and support of one another.

This week we had an enrichment hour for our Year 9 and 10s. Next week we will resume their normal timetable but with the thought that the week after having an enrichment hour again, depending on the feedback from the students that we are currently asking them for. I know that quite a few of our Year 7 and 8 students have been using the enrichment ideas and really loved exploring what has been suggested, and I would encourage parents to get their children involved.

The PE department have set all manner of challenges for your children to have fun with. Enjoy!

Tomorrow is VE Day and a Bank holiday. There are some good links to what VE Day is about that you may wish to share with your children: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52557524 https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/remembrance/remembrance-events/ve-day-75

We are expecting Government announcements later today and on Sunday which should give an indication of when schools may reopen and for whom. Once we have received guidance from the Government we will be able to make a plan that we will communicate with you as soon as we are able.

Education, in all its forms, is the most important thing we can give to our children to prepare them for their future lives.

Please do rest up this weekend, have some down time and stay safe.

Sending my best wishes to you all.
