We hope all is well with you all. School remains closed but teachers are still working, assessing children’s learning so far, planning future topics, organising classrooms and carrying out research.
Staff from all ESW schools have been sharing ideas and resources as well as supporting each other. School leaders are having regular meetings via Skype to ensure the logistics of looking after children and future organisation are in place. Heads are also implementing safeguarding measures to make sure all children are being securely looked after and are safe. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
The next home learning packs will be sent out by email as follows:
- Reception – ongoing resources and support through Tapestry
- Class 1 – refresher home learning pack Monday 30th March
- Classes 2 & 3 – Tuesday 14th April
- Packs for older children will be less frequent as the activities last longer. This reflects the nature of the learning with children of these ages.
Please pass on to us any good links and websites so we can disseminate to other parents – you can email individual teachers or the parent email address…and remember book time!
Any questions, please ask.
Thank you for all the kind messages being passed on to staff – teachers usually don’t get a great press so your praise is very well received.
Useful websites for your child’s continued learning. These have all been vetted by teachers.
ALWAYS CHECK WEBSITES OUT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE AGE APPROPRIATE. YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN BETTER IF THEY DO ACTIVITIES WITH ADULT SUPERVISION RATHER THAN ON THEIR OWN – SHARE THE LEARNING, TALK ABOUT THE LEARNING.
